Number of hours: 40 hours a week Monday through Friday with some flexibility 

Salary: Commensurate with experience.

Job Description:

An IT Engineer who can easily juggle wearing multiple hats, is flexible and adaptive to the evolving needs of the business. Effective communication and collaboration with other departments within Npidia is also a crucial component for success in this position.  

The responsibilities of the IT Engineer are: 

  • Ongoing General Duties 
  1. Design and implement the IT infrastructure, ensuring it aligns with the company’s current needs and future growth. 
  2. Establish and maintain robust cybersecurity measures to protect the company’s sensitive data and systems from potential threats. 
  3. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the company’s IT systems, ensuring they run smoothly and efficiently. 
  4. Develop and implement data management strategies, including data backup, storage, and retrieval processes. 
  5. Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans to minimize downtime in case of unforeseen events. 
  6. Manage Microsoft 365 Admin Center for all of Npidia staff members 
  7. Find the best solutions and technologies to meet the company needs  
  • Specific Duties of an IT Manager: 
  1. Identify, evaluate, and procure necessary software and hardware solutions that align with the company’s goals and budget. 
  2. Liaise with IT vendors, negotiate contracts, and manage relationships to ensure the delivery of quality services and products. 
  3. Work closely with CEO and Director to align IT strategies with the overall business strategy, identifying opportunities for technological innovation and improvement. 
  4. Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and alignment with the overall financial goals of the startup. 
  5. Manage and continue developing the AWS services. Continuously debug errors and fix them to improve staff use of the system. Run reports on AWS and train calling center lead on how best to use the features in the center.   
  6. Manage and continue developing the Odoo platform. Work with different developers to enhance the user interface and use the platform for this business. 
  • Time Management: 
  1. The IT Engineer must have excellent time management skills which include prioritization, excellent planning and scheduling. 
  2. Must be able to set achievable and realistic goals, considering the available resources and time constraints. 
  3. Be adaptable and ready to adjust plans as circumstances change. 
  • Collaboration: 
  1. Work closely with cross-functional teams such as Ambassadors lead, partners lead, sales, marketing, and product development to ensure alignment of IT efforts and needs of the company. 
  2. Assist in the creation of IT features that support sales initiatives. 
  3. Provide technical support to end-users and ensure that employees are adequately trained to use IT systems and applications. 
  • Website Management: 
  1. Update and maintain the company website with relevant content, images, and information. 
  2. Collaborate with web designers and developers to ensure the website is user-friendly and up to date. 
  3. Work with marketing coordinator to create WordPress websites and manage them   

The IT Engineer is expected to complete 40 hours a week with some flexibility. Must have a great understanding and hold on the English language, organized, meet project deadlines, great interpersonal skills and have superb time management skills.   

Job evaluation will be on a month-to-month basis.
